I’m a psychologist on a mission to help women reconnect with their authentic self and re-discover the feeling, meaning and magic in midlife, so they can live their best life yet!

You’ve been feeling adrift, mojo-less and stuck, and somewhere inside is a rumble of discontent telling you that there is ‘more’ to life than this (#MeToo!).

And I’d LOVE to help you feel empowered to make the most of mid-life by filling it with the things you LOVE and making sure you have the energy and headspace to fully ENJOY them.

Because that’s when you bring the best most authentic version of you, with your unique inner sparkle & your bright, zesty energy, to everything and everyone around you!

And that inner sparkle creates a magical ripple effect that makes your world and THE world a better place (and who can argue with that??!).

The other thing I want you to know – is that it’s NEVER ‘too late’.

In fact now is the PERFECT time.

There’s plenty of fire left in that belly of yours, I KNOW it, and plenty of life left to live - so, really, what are you waiting for?

My Story

Hitting mid-life for me left me feeling stranded, adrift, a bit akimbo! And I tried SO many things to put things right and get me back to how I ‘used’ to feel.

I learnt the hard way that the key to feeling content and with a true zest for life is by learning to listen to your heart, your intuition and your soul essence, connecting to your true inner-self and being purposeful about your self-care and fulfilment in a way that is reflective of who you are NOW.

I speak to so many women, like me, who feel adrift and stuck in mid-life, like their mojo has slinked off somewhere without them noticing, and who feel a bit invisible to themselves - they’ve lost that deep connection to who they are.

And they are either whistfully wanting to ‘get back’ to where they were, or feeling despondent that maybe this is as good as it gets from hereon.

Just like I was. For far too long.

One thing I now know to be true is that looking backwards is never the answer.

It just keeps you stuck.

You’re not that person any more, and no amount of wishing it is going to make that be the case (and be honest, do you really want to be back ‘there’, truly?).

Nor is it ‘too late’. In fact, having got ‘this far’ we know just how very precious this life of ours is - so getting intentional about cultivating the best life for us can’t happen ‘too soon’!

I believe that mid-life is the PERFECT time to get creative and conscious about our ‘second coming’, drawing on all the knowledge and wisdom we have accumulated about ourselves and the world!

AND not only that, I believe we deserve a mid-life that feels delightful, joyful, full of wonder, excitement and beauty. A life that reflects our journey - our time on this earth so far - AND that lights us up from the inside out, from a place of alignment and authenticity.

So if it’s time for anything, it’s time to make the most of life, and make this chapter the best one yet, on purpose!

These days I am super-intentional about the things I do, how I spend my time and the people I spend it with, and I choose and decide based on a deeper understanding of the woman I have become, not the woman I used to be. Because the the right things are included, that meet me where I’m at, it not only helps me stay grounded, calm and content, it also gives me greater confidence and lights up my heart and soul.

And that helps me to shine at my brightest, enjoy life to the max (my way) and be the best version of me, for my family, my business and everything I show up for!

For me, this is The Magic!

Some other things about me…

I’m a psychologist, a coach, a Highly Sensitive Empath, an Introvert, and a proud Nature Nerd with a bit of a creative streak.  I believe in the power of our emotions to steer and guide us through life and this is deeply embedded in how I work with and support other women. I read voraciously, both for fun and for personal and professional development, and embrace any gems and nuggets of wisdom from other disciplines and approaches into my whole person approach to coaching.

I’ve worked in the corporate world, the world of contracting AND I’m a business owner, so I also know a few things about how work and life can be a tricky mix to balance, however much you love your job.

You will often find me…

Out and about in nature (whatever the weather - with my clients, my morning coffee, my camera or just me, myself and I), with a mug of ‘proper’ coffee, taking a walks o’er hills and dales or by the sea (most fab with a friend and if it’s got a pub at the end) or fiddling about getting creative making something with my hands (I especially love making nature inspired silver-clay and see-glass jewellery - see @huggedbynature on Instagram).

Oh, and I play Mahjong.

I live in Hampshire with my hubby, my teenage son and mad-cat Sparky (who can often be seen helping me when I’m working!).

This is what my version of #livingmybestmidlife looks like!
